Day 4846 - The War Within Early Access Day 1

Early Access came, and I got Paladin to level 73 in Early Access.  There are some mod issue that I have to deal with as every quest pop up TomTom arrow which is a bit annoying.

I got the car back, turns out to be less serious than I had fear.

Day 4846 - The War Within Pre-Patch Day 30

The car completely died at a stop light.  Took a couple of hours getting to the shop.  Not sure when I'm going to have use of it.

Day 2635 - Legion Day 635

With a bit of practice, or rather, with a lot of repeat attempts, I got the final achievement toy from Darkmoon Faire.  There are two more achievements left, but one of them awards a limited use item, and the other one has a cannon that's not a toy.  Guess I'll be going for the cannon.

I got through the Pandaria cooking school with a bit of help from the auction house.  Now I just need 37 more Ironpaw Token to get the Nomi toy.  I'm kind of debating on whether to do the long grinding dailies to get him to master chef, but I'm probably just going to stop once I go the toy.

Someone was going around my neighborhood and removing catalytic converter from Prius.  My car was relieved of that device.  It'll cost me quite a bit of money to get it repaired.

Day 1378 - Mists of Pandarian Day 599

Today was an expensive day for me.  I went over to Alhambra Costco to pick up flower for my Friday visit.  On my way out, some other driver pointed out that one of my tire seem deflated.  It's time to replace them anyway, so I spend an extra 90 minutes at costco at an extra $500.  At least I was in position to get my tires replaced.

Did LFR 2 and 4 on my warrior today, and didn't get anything useful.

Day 1236 - Mists of Pandarian Day 457

Spend the morning at the car dealership getting maintenance done.  Good thing that the dealership actually upgraded their free wi-fi, and it's considerably more reliable than my previous experience.  I managed to finish the holiday daily quest on all 9 toons, got some points towards pushing my main to weekly valor point cap and done some fishing quest on my monk.  Not too bad of a way to spend my time in a captive environment.

Day 1234 - Mists of Pandarian Day 455

Car trouble today.  My auxiliary battery finally gave out today, requiring jump by AAA.  I had to scrapped my plan to get it replace by the dealer, since the battery won't hold charge anymore.

I managed to farm 2 more quest item for my main.  Doing it have been painful.  It's absurd when I'm #4 on the damage meter, and I'm the tank.

Day 436 - Waiting

The new tires for my car finally came in. When I got to Costco, I was told that it'll be 2.5 hours until they finished installing it. I took that as a sign that I should walk a couple of lapse in that store while I wait. All the while, this song pop into my head:

After a couple of chapters of Mistborn: Hero of the Ages, and a couple of minutes of semi-dozing off, I walk back to the tire center, and much to my surprise, they actually finished it in 80 minutes, instead of 140 minutes.  There's still a couple of things wrong, but I'll live with that.

Day 431 - Tire Trouble

I took my co-workers out to Emon Japanese Restaurant for lunch today.  As expected, they're very satisfy with the food.  However, on my way back, the rear tire blown out, and the co-worker was kind enough to get the temporary tire on.  I managed to drive slowly to a tire store and get a replacement tire.  On my way home, I bought 3 more tires from Costco, which will arrive sometime next week.  I didn't know it, but the old tires were 3 years old.  Guess I really should check them more regularly.

I also had the company sponsored bio-metric checkup today, and the only number which I couldn't measure myself is cholesterol.   That came in in flying color as expected, 152 total, 57 HDL, 95 LDL.

Day 190 - Car Problem

Over this past weekend (and really, over the past couple of weeks), I've become acutely aware of my tailbone when I sit in my car seat.  That means that anything over 60 minutes worth of sitting in the same position on this kind of seat that particular bone (and surrounding tissues) hurts.  I was stuck in traffic for 90 minutes on Saturday, and it wasn't fun for me.

Yesterday, after I gave one of my co-worker a ride to the train station, my brother called me up and ask me to pick him up at work.  It turns out that he has taken his car into a shop near his work to repair air condition vent in his car.  Unfortunately they cannot put it back together in time for him to pick up.  So I drove the extra 8 miles out to Pasadena and get him.  By the time we were back on the freeway again, the traffic really became a crawl.  I got home with my aching tailbone sitting in the same position for 2 hours.  Good thing I went to the restroom before going onto the car.

I ordered Gel Seat Soft Saddle Cushion based on some recommendation from BaritricTV.com forum.  I should get it today, and I'll see what the result is tomorrow.  I don't have that much problem sitting with my chair both at work and at home.  But car seat is a different story.

Took some laxative last night to try to get the rest of my intestine cleared up, and this morning, it has the result I was looking for.  Even though I had a bowl of rice with saute spinach, my number still looks good.

Day 172 - A Setback

Guess I'm a bit ahead of myself for my post yesterday. Last night, I start to feel that old sensation on my left knee that's telling me that it doesn't like the way it's being treated. This morning, I did my morning walk 1 hour earlier than I usually do, and my knee is hurting. I didn't bother trying to go back to 3.7 MPH, instead, doing my customary 3.6. It could be the fact that my legs were mislaid while driving the rental for the past 4 days.

Speaking of the rental car, the shop called last night and pleasantly surprised. The car was done yesterday, so I picked it up this morning, thus saving me about $305. The entire tab comes out to $1738.82 for the repair and $305 for the rental.

Day 170 - Roasted Slice Ginger

I uses NuWave Oven to cook my chicken/pork/steak for meals. I've been trying different vegetable to grill in that oven alongside. Thus far, I've tried onion and sweet bell pepper.

A couple of days ago, I got idea of slicing ginger (about 1.5mn) and grilling it. The idea is that ginger should have plenty of fiber that I need without any of the other stuff I don't need. I already enjoy eating ginger as part of a dish. The result has been uneven. I know the problem lies mainly on how thin I slice the ginger, and how long I cook them. Under cook them, and they're a bit raw, over cook, and they're too dry.

Perhaps I should investigate on getting ginger juice for the meat on grilling as well.

Oh, got the call from the shop yesterday regarding my car. The rear bumper will be about $1.9k, which I'll pick up the first one thousand of repair. The front bumper is another $900. The rental is another $580. All this plus the ding on my insurance means I really should be paying much more attention to my driving.

Day 168 - Learning How to Drive Again

I took the car into body shop this morning for repair early this morning. There's no ETA. I took the cheapest rental car they have available (Prius, Camry) and drove a late model Camry to work. It takes a bit getting used to how low speed acceleration works on an all gas car, after having drive a hybrid vehicle for the past 6 years. Since this isn't my car, I'm going to take it easy and drive as carefully as I can.
