Day 612 - Mist of Pandarian Beta Day 14

It was raining cats and dogs outside today. Unfortunately, today is also the day I go to Rose Hills. When I got out of Costco (minus umbrella) it was raining much harder than usual. By the time I got back to the car I was soaking wet. The flower did turn out well.

I stopped by Noodle King to have lunch and pick up dinner for the rest of the household.  This is what I tried.

I only ate half of it, took the rest home for dinner.  It's interesting tasting.

In a bit I'll start my MoP grind again, but first, I head back to The Old Republic to see what they have done.  I'm pretty sure I have to drop this game soon, as I simply don't have the time to play both games.  When Diablo 3 comes out, my time will take another hit.  So many games, so little time.

Day 583 - Bounter Hunter Chapter 3

It's odd how much of the companion quests are queued up contingent upon me finishing the character's class quest chain.  I've already maxed out Mako's affection at 10k, so as soon as we got over the check point in the class quests, her quests came through in a roll.  Likewise, my other companion's quest that I've actually been paying attention to also stacked up waiting for me to finish up Chapter 2 on Hoth.  Once that's through, we got a whole bunch to run through.  Well, back to the prison planet again, and by all indication, this planet supplies the companion with worse story line.  I'll be leveling Blizz's affection long before I even bother with this one.

I hate the transition of Day Light Saving Time.  Lost a hour of sleep today.  Now I have to force myself to bed an hour earlier.

Got off Taris and Quesh this weekend.  Now I'm parked at Hoth.  Thus far, I enjoy the Bounty Hunter's story line at Hoth.  Blizz is so adorable.

Went to see John Carter of Mars, which reveals the whole title at the end credit.  Just watching it brings to mind just how many writer borrow from A Princess of Mars.

Day 578 - Taris

I spend the past couple of days with my Powertech tank on Taris.  Not my favorite planet to level, due to the many walls and somewhat confusing pathing.  But with that in mind, I'm done with the planet, and onto one of my least favor, Quesh, again.  Since I'm trying to optimize my companion affection, I'm already done with Mako (and I can't even do her next companion quest, I'm too low level).  Well, after Quesh is Hoth, and the next companion, Blizz.  My own Jawa companion.  Too bad, I don't really need a tank.

Day 575 - Class Quest Complete in Alderaan

Sorry yet again for another late post.  I finished most of the Bounty Hunter class quest on Alderaan, and with the incident to the help desk, my errant class quest got itself resolved.  All that remain on Alderaan is to wrapped up the planet quest (settling who rules the planet) and some heroic quests if I can ever find a healer.

Class quest wise, I'm almost done with chapter 1 of Bounty Hunter, which means that Mako, my first and trusty companion (whose affection is above 7 thousands should start having her companion quests again).  I only have 2 companion right now, and I'm too used to having a pocket healer to change my play style.  I should go back to the fleet after I'm done with Alderaan to finish up some older and obsolete flashpoints.

Day 574 - Working Around Known Bug

On Sunday when I finally got around to finishing a companion quest, it somehow triggered the class quest from Nar Shaddaa that I've already completed.  Reading up on the official board, this appears to be a known issue.  Right now, I'm resetting it just so that I can continue to use the holoterminal.  Lets hope this is a workaround.

Day 573 - Powertech Level Continues

I spend the weekend grinding my Powertech through planetary and class quests on Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine. I remember helping a Bounty Hunter doing their class quest finale on Tatooine.  On that torhead link, it would seemed that the quest itself was abnormally hard.  It could be that I did this at level 28 (a bit high for the level) or that I'm doing it as a tank.  But as far as I can tell, it wasn't any harder than the other mission here.  I managed to solo one 2 man heroic, hard but not impossible.  I really need to go back to the fleet and do some of the flash point quest.  I have one dangling quest on Tatooine, but I'm debating on whether to do that and the bonus series just to get a slightly better gear...

Day 571 - Powertech Leveling

As I level my Powertech tank, I began to realize that in my zeal of finishing most of a given planet's mission, and the rest xp bonus, I'm really too high level for a given planet by the time I leave it.  For example, I'm about 2/3 way through Nar Shaddaa, and I'm already level 25.  Usually I left the Smuggler's Moon at 24.5, and bought the speeder training on the next planet.

At least I don't have to use the loaner speeder anymore.

Day 567 - Leveling Bounty Hunter Powertech

Here's a picture of early career of Bounty Hunter Elf:

I managed to get her to level 15.  At level 14, I finally got the proper tools to become tank, Ion Gas Cylinder,  the tanking stance of Bounty Hunter.  With that I tried to tank a Heroic Quest.  It went OK all things consider (I keep on getting disconnected).  I'm still missing at least 3 tools (jet charge, grappling and flame sweep), but it's better than before.

Day 566 - Bounty Hunter Tank - Powertech

This past weekend, I ran a couple of heroic flashpoint on both my Sith Sorcerer healer and Imperial Agent Sniper.  Just for completeness sake, I went ahead and created a Bounty Hunter name Elf (named after a character in Schlock Mercenary).  Going after the third leg in the trinity of Healer/Damage/Tank, this Bounty Hunter is going to be a tank, which means when I actually got around to select my advance class specialization, I selected Powertech.

I'm not trying to repeat the mistake I made during my leveling of Sith Sorcerer and Sniper, and basically have TorHead.com opened whenever I get any quests.  This will allow me to maximize my companion affection gain.

In terms of companion, it's a good thing that the very first companion I get is a healer, since I'll be tanking most of my way through the leveling.  Wish me luck.

Day 562 - End of Imperial Agent Storyline

On Tuesday, I finish the Imperial Agent's planet quest chain on Coreilla.  I saved the class quest endgame until Wednesday.  After a couple of quick run (one death), I finish the class quest last night.  This is a significantly better story than the Inquisitor.  Next stop, Bounty Hunter.  Although I really should run more heroic flash point on my first character.

Day 559 - Imperial Agent At Level 50

I actually reached level 50 a couple of days ago. Surprisingly enough, I've not finish the final leveling planet's quests nor the class quest. Though I'm at the final for both. The second toon leveling is a much smoother process. I've learn to user torhead.com to maximize gaining my companion's affection towards my character. Imperial Agent's story is much superior to that of the Sith Inquisitor. Next up is probably Bounty Hunter.

Day 550 - Imperial Agent Progress

My 100% Pure Goodness(tm) Imperial Agent is progressing nicely.  I'm basically playing her with 100% light side choices.  Basically, she's an Imperial patriot who wants to do what's the best for the Empire, Sith Lord notwithstanding.  She's currently on the 3rd chapter of her storyline, hunting the conspiracy that's spanning both Republic and Empire, and back on the secret Republic prison planet of Belsavis.  After playing a mostly evil Sith Sorcerer healer, it's a very nice change of pace playing such a goodie goodie character.

Day 543 - Quesh Again

I swear, this planet is just as boring the second time around. At least I'm wrapping it up rather fast with my class quest. Almost time to go to Hoth.

Day 539 - Imperial Agent End of Chapter One

I'm in the midst of finishing up my Imperial Agent's chapter one story line. It's much more engaging than Sith Inquisitor, and let the player get a feel of a non-Force sensitive citizen. I can't wait to get to the next part.

Day 528 - Racing Against the Alarm

After running through a bunch of heroic on the final leveling planet, I got through my toon's class quest.  I vanquish my enemy, and earn a seat on the Dark Council.  My main character is now Darth Dianora as displayed on the character, or Darth Nox (I'm Dark level IV, well on my way to totally evil).

This morning, for some reason, I didn't get sound sleep.  I keep on getting semi-awake and look at the clock for the alarm to go off.  I did that at least 3 times.  According to Fitbit, I was only asleep for 5:32.

Day 527 - Level 50 Sith Sorcerer

After about 3 weeks of playtime, I've finally leveled my Sith Inquisitor (advance class Sorcerer) healer up to the maximum level of 50.  I'm sort of at the finish line in terms of my character class's story line, so it lines up easily.  Since I followed my co-worker in getting onto an PVP-RP (Player Vs. Player, Role Playing) server, I decided to have some fun and just use the social armor set.  Not many Sith Sorcerer are running around looking like this:
On Reaching Level 50

Time to work on finishing the class quest and getting into more advance Flash Point.

Day 518 - Level As A Healer

I'm still slowly sloughing my not so little Sith Inquisitor through The Old Republic.  On Monday, my character made it to level 40, and for the most part finished all of the normal quests on Hoth.  I'm at a point where the tide of not being able to quickly defeat enemies quickly is eased by the fact that I can heal my companion through defeating an elite mob.  The flashpoint is getting much tougher for the healer, where I actually have to actively monitor the party's health for large spike of damage.  Still, healing has its perks.

Another week past by, and I'm attempt to undo the damage done by two weeks of holiday eating. Tonight's meal (more hot pot) won't help.

I've now grind my Sith Inquisitor up to level 38, using healing spec, mainly for doing group and flashpoint. It makes doing solo quest quit a challenge.

Day 516 - The Most Boring Planet

Now that my Sith Inquisitor has made it to 35, I went ahead to the next planet in the story line, Quesh.  And this planet has the tacked on in the end feel.  It's only 2 level long, and I managed to get from 35 to 36 doing quests here.  It has a grand total of 2 flight points, and 3 quick travel points.  It has no heroic mission.  With the exception of going back there to pick up commendation point gears, there's really no reason to go back there.  Lets hope Hoth is better.
