Day 1270 - Mists of Pandarian Day 491

Oh, last night was an unmitigated disaster.  My hunter tried to run LFR to pick up tokens.  Got 2 out of 3 instances.  But the entire Warcraft environment was unstable, with random disconnects and login server unavailable.  After a while I just give up and took my druid and hunter to finish farming Black Temple.  I didn't get what I wanted out of that either.

For some reason I thought the Black Prince cloak upgrade token cost 10k gold to buy.  That's why I didn't bother buying the dps cloak and the upgrade yesterday.  I look at the price a bit more carefully (125g) and went ahead and upgrade the cloak...

Today is also the start of the rest of my toons on their token grind.  Druid is the first up.  She actually had a god run, picking up 7 token.  Should be done with this part next week.

Day 1268 - Mists of Pandarian Day 489

After finishing up Chapter III of the epic quest, it was time to move onto Chapter IV, which involves flying to all 4 Celestial Temples and accepting a solo instance quest.  Since my Paladin did not have a healing spec, Temple of Red Crain isn't available for me.  As my tanking gear is much better than my dps gear, I opted to go to Temple of Black Ox.  Reading ahead, I picked up a Shado-Pan quest helper to help me doing the tanking solo instance.  With that, I got an iLevel 600 cloak, and I went back to Timeless Isle for the Chapter V part of the epic quest.

The only hard part of this is to get enough people to do the 4 Celestial world boss run.  It took me about an hour of time to get through all 4 Celestials.  This yields me a upgrade token for the cloak I just got.  The upgrade token transform my tanking cloak to a Legendary quality.  I can also buy another cloak (strength DPS) and do another upgrade later.

Day 1267 - Mists of Pandarian Day 488

New raid week.  Of course, I start with my main toon, being only 2 Titan token away from finish the grind part of Chapter III of the epic quest line.  The first instance I got was the one with guarantee drop.  Two tokens later, I turn in the quest, and headed back to the same instance again to take another shot at the Thunder King.  In all, this toon is unlikely to do too many instance this week.

It turns out I did have enough time to run all of my cloth wearing casters through LFR to farm for the quest token yesterday.  Albeit, the result is still very disappointing, with the ever decreasing quality of tanks and raiders.  I'm just thankful that I managed to get some tokens.  This means that my Death Knight tank who still have a full slate of LFR for the second sets of quest token can do them tonight.  I don't have high hope, but hey, it looks like I got an extra day of farming.

Today is my alt tank's turn.  Monk and Death Knight.  Surprisingly enough I got both of them to move onto the next tier of the epic quest.  It does take a bit of gold to get the material, and the solo instances and tossing a spear at an angry dragon does incurs quit a bit of repair bill, but the resulting meta gem is well worth the trouble.

Of all of my toons, my rogue has the least amount of quest token from last week.  3/20.  I managed to raised it to 8/20, still the lowest of all my toons.

I managed to gather up my funds and bought Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger from the auction house.  It's one of the reward from the Liche King epic weapon quest chain.  I already have 2 of the items, this will make it the third.

While looking at that majestic mount, I also got my hunter through her share of the LFR.  Only at 9/20.

Balance Druid's turn.  The Druid is one of my toon that have out geared the LFR instances, so I'm just running the toons to finish the epic quest.  She's now at 11/20.  Not good, but not bad.

New raid week, and as usual, my Paladin main toon is the first up.  She's currently trying to get 20 Titan Runestone.  After today, she's still 7/12.  There are 2 less LFR instances that can drop this, and the drop rate are bad.

Day 1259 - Mists of Pandarian Day 480

Finishing up my remaining characters for the day.  I did as much of the LFR instances where I can get the quest token for my Warlock and Shadow Priest.  The Warlock pick up 3 more token while the Shadow Priest managed to up her total to 8.  After 1 full week of token farming, my number isn't good, but isn't too terrible.  The paladin is currently 4/12 token after her first week of Titan Tablet farming.  The other 8 toons are doing the Secret of Empire token.  Death Knight who had a prior week of farming is now at 18.  Mage is at 5, Warlock at 11, Shadow Priest 8.  The rest of my characters aren't quit as lucky.  Druid is at 5, Hunter at 4 and Rogue is a lowly 3.  Though she did get her regular Tier 16 glove, so her week isn't a wash.  Lastly the Monk is at 13 after only 1 week of farming.  Being a tank does have its benefit.

I went to see a movie today, so my playing time was limited.  I did managed to get my mage through all of the available content, and the warlock through the Throne of Thunder content.  Mage got 5 token, and warlock got 8.  Life is sometime not fair.

Today is the other tank's turn.  My Monk tank actually managed to pick up 13 token betwen all of her lfr, and even managed to get the transmorg head piece from Black Temple.  My Death Knight isn't as lucky, but she's 2 away from getting her legendary meta gem.

Iron Skyreaver came on the in-game market today.  I bought it on my bank alt rogue in Ironforge, and quit literally cannot find the mount in the mount tab.  It wasn't until later that I realize the store delivered it to my character's bag.  Good thing my bank alt is level 20 and can learn the mount.

I managed to grab 3 out of 20 pieces of quest token piece on my shadow priest, the next person on the to do list.  That's after running the first 2 LFR instances.  As to be expected on the end of the raid week, the group performance is atrocious.  I've got to get them into raid earlier.

Last raiding day of the week again.  I'm currently on the lookout to buy a mount cheaply.  Problem is that my mean of making money is rather limited, and my supplies of companion pets to sell is getting pretty low.  At this junction, I may have to run back to Tempest keep on my non-casters and hope to get more pet while I wait for the LFR queue to open in my current quest to finish Chapter 3 of the epic quest.  It'll be a long long journey.

After my success with my mage in the Temple PVP Game, I opted to spend the rest of the day going through my remaining 6 characters on the PVP leg of the epic quest.  Surprisingly enough, my warlock in her Affliction spec is kind of hard to kill.  I supposed the self heal aspect of her damage spell is really helping out a bit.

I guess this is the weekend where everyone is trying to get their pvp leg of the epic quest chain done, because I didn't see as many pvp geared horde as usual.  I manage to finish off my warlock, shadow priest, balance druid and hunter before taking a break to go watch movie in a theater.

As we get into the evening, competition seem to pick up a bit.  It took my rogue many many games to get her quest done.  My monk also have the same lack of success.  And the final game, Temple Game, I lost internet connection just as we're about to win the game.  Fortunately Blizzard awarded me the credit for the win, and I get to finish the chain.  It's too bad that the reward extra socket for weapon doesn't work on any of the weapon after Throne of Thunder.  However the meta gem from the next leg is still the best in slot for the game.

Day 1250 - Mists of Pandarian Day 471

After getting worn down by American Red Cross's rather insistent calls, I signed up to donate blood this morning.  For a change, the procedure didn't pain me as I remember it.  I still feel a wee bit dizzy now and again, but that's to be expected.

Now that I've ran out of things to do on the 2 toons that's on the next leg of the epic quest, I went to my other toons on my roster.  I spend some time with the Mage to get her tier 16 shoulder piece.  I got it, but the end boss of LFR4 turns out to be very problematic.  Since I really don't need things from that boss, I opted to just quit and move onto the next boss.  I also gave the first boss of LFR1 a couple of shot, but the trinket didn't drop for me.

Next up is my Warlock.  I queue her up for LFR2 for the multistrike trinket.  The process was rather painful as we had some very undergeared tanks.  After a very long wait in between boss 2 and 3, we finally got competent tanks and finish the instance.  I got the trinket, and it really suits my playstyle.

After a while, I opted to try finishing the rest of my toon's PVP portion of epic quest.  I gave my monk a couple of tries, but couldn't win any of her games.  After a brief break, I went back and try with my mage, and managed to win the both game thus finish chapter 2 of the epic quest chain.  One of my online friend caution me to queueing up for pvp during prime time, as the more dedicated (and appropriately geared) enemies signs up for these game.  So I stop for the night and try again tomorrow morning.

I realized that both spec of my Death Knight's gear are not completely enchanted or gemmed.  I spend a good amount of time today just rectifying this.  Also due to a mod malfunction, I have to revert back to previous iteration of my character data file.  Unfortunately that was a couple of weeks ago.  No real loss, except I have to remember to do my multi-spec toons' gear correctly.

After I got my Death Knight's gear in order, I went through the all of the available bosses that can drop the quest token.  6 different LFR instances, and I got 11 out of 20.  Not too bad.  Of course, I also have to come up with the 40 expensive metal bars.  That will get expensive when I get to all of the rest of my toons.

I spend the night getting through SoO LFR 2 as well as Flex 2 (most of it) and end up getting only 2 Titan Runestone, the next drop item for the next quest.  Unfortunately for me, the rest of it will have to wait until next week unless I can get Flex 1, since I've already exhausted the SoO LFR1 and all of the old Throne of Thunder.

And my death knight finished her PVP leg of the legendary quest.  Now I can also enjoy the joy of grinding through ALL of ToT LFR as well as SoO LFR1 and LFR2 for the secret.  7 more toons to go.

Going through all of the Throne of Thunder plus the first Siege, and I finally got the rest of the Secret of the Empire.  That being said, I had to go through the follow up quest which is very challenge for me.  But now I have the legendary meta gem for tanking, and it really helps out.

My mage got her turn yesterday trying to get her shoulder piece.  Still no go, and the quality of the LFR'ers are really horrendous.  Not quit as bad as my hunter fare.  I ran her through LFR1 literally 3 times to get to the last boss.  I wipe on the first boss (which in my book is just a loot pineta) more times than I though possible.  Of course, being LFR1, we got some really undergeared people.  I still have to run the mage through LFR1...  The only good news for me out of all that mess is that I actually got the trinket I was trying to get.  There is a pony in there after all.

I now have a different routine.  Each day, get on the box, run every one of my toon through the Timeless Isle free 45g question.  When it comes to the monk, she has the distinct honor of going for her own free 24g daily quest at the monk training ground as well as 3 fishing dailies.  I still need to equip her with her own fishing hat.

I tried to squeeze in the holiday daily yesterday, but I didn't wake up early enough.  Oh well, next year we should have a new pet.  Speaking of pets, the new one this holiday is selling well enough to finance my last JC mount.

I also spend a rather frustrating day on my warlock trying to get the trinket from LFR2 and LFR4.  I also wanted to get the shoulder tier piece from LFR4.  After many many wipes, I got my shoulder piece from LFR4 and nothing else worth mentioning.  At least I didn't go empty handed.

Ran my monk through LFR3 and actually got her second Tier 16 headpiece, thus completing both her dps and tanking sets.  Now only flex and weekly Trial of Celestials can help me in that regard.  I also spend a bit of time optimize both sets of gear, trying hard not to mix them up.  Malkorok didn't drop the tanking trinket that I wanted.  Perhaps I should send my DK through there as well.

Oh, I'm now 44 years old.  How time flies.  Didn't do anything any differently.  I already got my birthday meal last Sunday, so I'm taken care of.

New Year.  I spend the whole day running my main through as many of the LFR that can yield the quest item as I can, and just for good measure, the rest of the LFR to get DPS gear.  It's quit frustrating dealing with LFR quality people.  I also managed to do FLEX2.  No meaningful drop though.  I'm now 12/20 through the quest item.

I ran both of my leather armor wearer through Black Temple to try to get the rather unique headpiece.  No dice.  My druid actually got the Legendary off hand sword that she cannot use.  Oh well, it's worth 24 gold.
