Day 1506 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 95

Spend the day doing prepare for raid reset.  Got the character that has the most amount of timeless coin so I can have the extra valor point earning next week.  In about 2 weeks, valor points are all going away, so I might as well get as many as I can and upgrade.

Day 1505 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 94

My mage got into a good group in the morning.  The group managed to go all the way to the final boss, but we cannot finish him, and I have to eat lunch.  But prior to that, I managed to finally got the multistrike trinet off a bonus roll.  I also got a one handed and off hand combo.  It isn't better than what I have at this moment.  Perhaps when I fully upgrade it it may be better.  I can always hope.

In the afternoon, I spend about 8K of gold fully enchant and gem my druid's bear tank set.  I also sat down and try to figure out how to do bear tanking.  After a mock run through heroic instance, I got into a Flex 1-2 raid run.  Though my threat generation is a wee bit on the low side compare to my really overgeared co-tank, I think I didn't do that badly.  Bear tanking is actually somewhat easy.  Perhaps I need to watch some more video.

Unlike last week, my warrior actually got into a good group.  We have to settle with constant tank changes, but we managed to finish the first 3 wings.  I got a dps trinket that I will not be using.  A two handed weapon that's going to go towards my dps set, and the tanking trinket that my main toon would've love to have.  Thus far, she's my second tank that has that nice trinket.

DK's turn at the raid.  Unfortunately, it's another one of those fall apart at the first raid wipe, which in this case is boss #6, Iron Juggernaut.  At least I got a DPS bracer out of this trouble.  I didn't get the dps trinket, but that's better than nothing.

Day 1502 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 91

Took the druid through the first wing of the SoO raid.  Would've love to do more except the raid fall apart after the first 4 bosses.  The only thing I got was a caster staff I have no use for.  Well, it's time for me to start figuring out how to do druid bear tanking.  At least I know the mechanics of the fight, I just don't know the mechanics of the bear tanking.

For a change, I didn't play much Warcraft not due to work.  I went to a Dodgers game where they play the rival Giants.  Didn't get home until 10:30PM, near my bedtime.  What I did do is get my warlock through weekly run at Ordos.  Finally got an upgrade for her Timeless Isle necklace.  Now only the bracer needs to be upgraded to Warforged.

On the last day of the raid week, I have enough time to get all of my toon that doesn't yet have the gag google from Brewfest enough quest token to buy it.  All but my warrior got theirs.  The warrior will get her goggle later on.

I tried to get some more gear on my monk tank, also trying out new tanking talents.  All goes well until we hit the second wing when the people against fun decided to attack Warcraft again.  The night was ruined and I didn't get anything other than some newer experience out of it.

My warrior tank managed to go through the second wing without picking up any tier piece gear.  However, I did get an dps trinket as well as an upgraded wrist piece.  Better than nothing.

Dust off my warrior to get some dps gear.  While I did get an upgraded chest piece as well as a dps glove that's not well suited for me, I came up empty for a tier chest piece at the end of the first wing.  Well, we'll try again tomorrow.

It's my paladin tank's turn at the raid.  I explicitly said to the raid I came in for DPS gear, and they're receptive.  I managed to get a two handed sword and a trinket.  I think I'm fairly well set, DPS gear wise for the expanson.

Once again, my druid's turn again at farming for both tanking gear as well as trying to get some trinket.  Went into 3 raid.  Each one consisted of one boss kill and the raid falls apart.  At least I got the tier piece for the tanking set, otherwise this would've been a terrible night.

I got on the horn with Time Warner Cable to find out why the upgrade I ordered 2 weeks ago still did not kicked in.  After 20 minutes with the tech support, I got transferred to the customer care.  It's there that they discovered discrepancy in the billing (they really need to work that bit out in the online ordering forms).  After a brief modem reboot, as ordered by the customer care representative, my speed increased 3 fold.  Still not quit as fast as I had hoped for.  But they claimed that my area is due to have its upgrade in one month, so I can wait.

Meanwhile, I completed some of my character's allotment of weekly quest and wait for the raid reset.

Day 1491 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 80

It was hot enough to finally justified turning on the AC.  I didn't get much gaming done prior to that.  What I did do is walk around the mall for a couple of hours.  And I took this picture at the food court.  Didn't quit notice the juxtaposition until later.

I finally got my hunter into an raid.  And for a change, I got into a guild run from my own server, Korgath.  We managed to finished up to and including Siegecrafter.  I didn't get the shoulder I wanted, but I did get two different boots, which was also something I needed.  And with that, the hunter regains her spot as the highest geared character.

Got 30 minutes of walk done yesterday, and for the first time in 2 weeks, I hit my target of 10k steps for a day.  That felt good.

I also took my druid out in an attempt to get her better trinket.  While that didn't happened, I did managed to get 2 more piece of gears toward the tanking set.  She now has two piece bonus.  Not bad.

Now that the late night works have been completed, I can devote more time to raiding.  The Alliance chopper will be expensive, but I should have enough to buy it when the expansion arrives in 2 months.  2 more months.

We're still without the service of the treadmill in the house.  The new motor have arrive, but we need new circuit board plus a new belt, plus someone to install all of it.  Since I'm not restricted by time anymore, I took off to the gym and walk 2 miles there.

Due to the double booking of work, I only managed to get all of my toons through the daily Timeless Isle question quest done.  Well, tonight is the last night of these nightly work days, so perhaps I'll finally get to do some actual quests.

I had even less time than yesterday, so I ran the remaining toon through Ordo.  Nothing except repair bill as a Horde death knight was quit insistent on wiping on one of the raid, repeatedly.

Due to my current slate of evening work, I'm probably not going to get much raiding this week.  I did get the toons that still needs gear from Ordos to go at him at the raid week reset.  Nothing I could use or need.

I managed to get into one raid, mainly to fill in some missing piece gears for my monk.  I got into a rather low gear level group, and it was as painful as it can be.  Somehow we managed to complete Norushen encounter just as the berserk mechanism fired off (and most of the raid dead).  I got a warforged chest piece that I'm not going to use.  On the next boss I got the tier chest piece off bonus roll.  After I got back to the capital, I realized that I haven't exactly enchant and gemmed the dps set for the monk, and I end up using up the whole day's income on the adjustments.  But the end result is iLevel 553 dps set.

Once again, I was not able to find ANY raiding group again, quality or not.  I end up leveling my Death Knight through the Shadowmoon Valley, and onto the second leveling zone, and getting her up to level 94.  I'll probably have to try out the new tanking rotation again.  It'll be rather weird just spamming one key for the Blood Rune.

A tale of two different raids.  I got my warlock on a very well geared raiding group. We blew through everything up to Garrosh with minimum difficulty.  Garrosh, of course is a bit different.  In all, I got a slightly better suited boots out of this effort.  I then tried to get my shadow priest through the second raid again.  This one falls apart after 2 wipes.

With limited raid time, I got my warrior through the first 4 bosses looking for DPS gear.  There were items that I could use, but all I got was a dps boot out of it.  I'm mainly looking for weapons and trinket.  Didn't get them.

It's my shadow priest's turn at the merry-go-around in the raid finder.  Boy was it painful going into an undergeared raid where people are still unclear on the concept.  Only managed to get through the first 4 bosses, absolutely nothing of note.

Well, it's bound to happen.  10 characters through Ordos, zero gears.  I did get my druid up to the entire third wing of the raid before I have to retire for the night.  I got 1 caster ring and 3 pieces of gears that can start the character on the road to tanking in the next expansion.

I decided to run my warrior through some Flex raid, since I'm kind of blocked on the normal raid.  I did pick up some dps gear for all of that trouble.  10 weeks to go on this expansion, and I don't know when the pre-launch patch will hit.

Day 1477 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 66

With the treadmill on the fritz and repairman not getting here until Tomorrow, I have to be creative on getting my exercise in.  Fortunately, I was able to get into an amusement park for the day and just walk and walk.  I got 12k steps with that regiment, albeit, I'm not doing that again.  The shops at the amusement park really took a chunk out of my credit card.

I took the warrior through the first 5 bosses of the raid.  On a bonus roll, I was able to score warforged shoulder piece. Forgoing the set bonus from the previous raid level, I set about to make the DPS set a bit better.  Still cost me a bunch of gold getting it gemmed.
