With one weeks worth of additional gears, and some familiarity with all of the boss mechanics, we managed to pushed through all of the normal Uldir, and got the first boss in Heroic done. I got some offspec gears, but no main spec.
Afterward, someone in the guild have a Mythic +9 Siege key, and we spend more than a hour in the instance. We found that if you don't care about the timer, the best way to handle the last boss is just doing it slowly and grind down the low health tentacle first before moving onto the other part of the mechanics. I got a 365 weapon out of it.
