I spend quite a bit of time getting all of the characters through emissary quest to get the upgraded azerite gears done. The last 2 days have the azerite gears, and for most of my characters the upgrade is well worth the effort. I also ran all of them through the new weekly world boss, which has a rather limited loot table. Some of the characters cannot be upgraded via this route anymore. Finally, I went through and made sure that as many of my characters got their 8.3 profession upgrades done. Unfortunately for the Shaman, she will not be upgrading via that route as her profession does not offer the right kind of gear.
