One way of getting new valor point to get gear upgrade is doing daily heroic dungeon, weekly LFR. So that's what I end up doing. It's extremely tedious grind. All the while I have to run my various characters with legendary ring through Archimonde on normal or heroic difficulty to get the upgrade. This will only get more work up.
