Day 1446 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 35

Finish taking the rest of my characters through Ordos, and for a change, my mage actually got the belt she needed.  The paladin got a second pair of warforged bracer that'll be use in DPS spec.  The shadow priest got an alternative set of shoulder that she's also not using.

I then takes my shadow priest through the first 2 bosses.  The trinket didn't drop and my bonus roll also came up empty.  Giving my dps a break, I took my Death Knight through the first 4 bosses as well.  The run was rather uneventful, no wipes.  I did get the iLevel 553 Tier 16 tanking chest piece, which allows me to reshuffle my gears up a bit.

Before I call it a night, I also took the druid through the first 4 bosses.  While I did pick up a new ring, no trinket, no staff.

A bit later in the night, I got my paladin into a Blackfuse to Garrosh raid.  I finally got rid of my final piece of LFR gear on the tanking set, and bring up my iLevel score to 566.  There are still 2 more piece of Flex raid pieces that I would like to replace, but I think my Paladin is in a good spot.

Day 1445 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 34

Oddly enough the weekly valor cap buff doesn't get reset right away, so I had my warlock prepared to do the valor cap with the previous week's buff still up.

After getting my bonus roll for all of my toons, I managed to get a bunch of my toons through Ordos.  The warrior did get an warforged belt that is well suited for tanking, and the other belt can be recycled for dps.

I also got my Paladin through the first 9 bosses.  I didn't get the stamina trinket from the 9th boss, but did upgrade my tanking weapon.

On the last day of the raid week, I didn't have any luck in getting my toons into the raid they needed.  So I end up finishing up the weekly quests for the next raid week.

My mage gets her turn at trying to farm for the multistrike trinket.  Didn't get it, though not for lack of trying.  I then took my monk tank through boss 5-9 in hope of farming for some gears.  As with the death knight tank, the dodge trinket dropped.  I halfheartedly roll for it, and didn't exactly regret losing it.  On the Dark Shaman, I didn't get the multistrike trinket either.  The next 2 bosses did gave us some problem as people kept on leaving and we have to find replacement.  I win the cooldown/stamina trinket that all tanks wants.  Well, that's enough raiding for the morning.

I've been somewhat neglectful of my Death Knight tank.  Sign her up for LFR and managed to get through the first 8 bosses.  Both the stamina trinket and the dodge trinket was obtained.  Albeit, no one uses the dodge trinket except to boost the gear score.  The tanking boot also dropped, and I have no other contender for that loot.  These new gears plus my weekly valor point upgrade brought the tank's score from 559 to 564, on par with my Paladin tank.  Not bad for a single raid run.

And my luck holds up.  The rogue also got the trinket she's been farming for for a while.  Just the same, I also took my mage through her rounds of the raid.  Nothing useful dropped for her.

My balance druid went through the first part of the raid.  Got 2 piece of unneeded gear and one healer trinket, which does amplified some of my stats.  I guess I'll continue to farm this again.

My hunter had better luck, albeit, mostly through the bonus roll, she now have both normal version of the trinket.  Next up is rogue and then the rest of my tanks.

Day 1439 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 28

Since the raid group my paladin went on wasn't raiding, I decided to continue farming the caster trinket with my other toons.  And for a change, fortune was smiling on me as both my warlock and shadow priest got a caster ring they both needed and warlock got the trinket.  In all, not a bad night.

I also attended the annual KLOS blood drive.  The concert ticket was a nice bonus, but I just want to get them to stop calling me for the next couple of weeks.

I took my best geared tank (Dianora, Paladin) through the first wing of the raid.  Other than an off spec bracer, nothing else dropped for me.  I also held off on spending the bonus loot, as I'm saving it for some specific item further into the instance.

On the last day of the raid week, I went ahead and took my last toon to raid as well.  Since I really doesn't need any tier gear from the first 8 bosses, I went ahead and signed up for the 9th boss and start.  The DPS was a bit higher than I expected, but we got through boss 9 to 11 in rather quick order.  But we seem to have problem with Blackfuse, so the raid let me go.  I went back and signed up with a group that did finished that boss.

Loot wise, I got a better tanking boot and a tier helm that I cannot use yet.  That's why I either get a warforge shoulder or a tier shoulder.

After I got my rogue all the way up to the final boss, I only have 2 toons left that haven't done any raid.  My warrior tank didn't have quit as much luck.  The weekend raid being a fickle thing with people leaving left and right.  We end up spending far more time waiting than raiding.  We did get all the way through 8 bosses.  At least I managed to pick up an upgraded belt.

I got all of my casters through the first raid instance to farm for the trinket.  None of them got it.  My hunter also struck out on hers as well.  After finishing up the daily quest that I can do for the next reset, I tried again with the rogue.

For some reason, this one worked much better.  Most of the raiders at iLevel 560+ at least knows the mechanics.  We blew through most of the raid without much difficulty.  In the end, we had to call it after getting to the last boss as both tanks admit that they are not geared enough to do that encounter.  Still, a good 4 hour run that netted her the multistrike trinket and the tier 16 shoulder.

Went through and got most of my toons that still can hand in the weekly Timeless Isle weekly quest done.  I'll be saving them for next Tuesday when those quest resets.

I also got the warlock and shadow priest through the first wing of the raid.  In the warlock's case, she got in with an extremely bad group, and failed to get anything other than the first boss down.  Shadow priest fared better going through the first 4 bosses.  The trinket I farm for, of course didn't drop.

Spend the raid going from Thokk to the end on the mage.  I passed on an intellect ring in favor of the Tier 16 headpiece.  I had 1000 valor points, used it all on upgrading that.  Now the mage is my highest iLevel geared character again.

After the headache from yesterday, my mage got as far as Spoils of Pandaria.  No loot dropped for me.  Naturally the trinket I'm farming for did drop, but I lost the loot roll.

Day 1430 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 19

On the last day of the raid week, I went out and did some cleanup raid.  As I've said before, last day of the raid week is either the best or the worst day for doing the kind of LFR that I now do.  With a higher gear score means a higher damage and dealing per characters, and many of the things that I have to struggled with can now be smooth over.  Case in point, the first boss encounter we did was the Shaman fight.  Normally, this is one of the most chaotic fight even on a good day.  We did wipe once, and almost didn't make it the second time, but still, with the minimum iLevel 560 means that we can ignore this.  We blow through Malkorok easy enough, no trinket.  And 2 shotted Thok, normally one of the hardest boss in the game, though this time we have 2 tanks, so the strategy is a bit different.

In all, I managed to get the normal Tier 16 tanking glove, a dual use dps trinket that can also be use in tanking role.  I considered that a good night's work.

Day 1429 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 18

Spend the day getting ready for the new raid week's weekly quest.  As I've spend most of my timeless coin, I have to be a bit creative on getting one of my toon to the valor point cap.

I did managed to get my rogue through the first 4 bosses of the raid.  Although the trinket I was farming for dropped, I have to settled for the tier chest piece.  There's next week.

In between the rogue and my death knight's queueing, I decided to actually try out the expansion a bit, to see what it will be.  After manually copying over my macro and keybind (and debugging them, it seems the next expansion done away with the code /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(), which is a bit troubling, as it is in practically all of my macro.  Oh well, lessons learn.

I spend approximately 90 minutes clearing the start of the initial starting zone, up to the point when we got to the actual starting zone for Alliance, Shadowmoon Valley and I've already leveled up to 91.  Since then, I've play on and off for a while, learning how to do the Garrison quests and getting followers.  I'm already halfway to 92.  Getting Garrison missions done should be interesting.

While I was not having much success with the group trying for Garrosh, I've brought 3 different tanks, 2 different dps and still he's not going down.  All the while, my hunter got on with a rather component group that managed to cleared all the way up to the Spoil encounter.  I was able to get new ring, trinket (warforged) and a new gun that I don't have valor point to upgrade yet.  In all, these 2 nights made my hunter my best geared character.

Took the main paladin tank through the first 6 bosses, didn't get anything useful.  As usual, the shaman proved to be harder than usual, I'll have to do that again later.  My mage did pick up a boot from the same boss.  However, we were not able to complete the 8th boss, General.

Went on my warrior tank again to try to finish the raid.  Both Siegcrfater Blackfuse and Paragons went down well enough, but the final boss Garrosh proves elusive.

I also went on the shadow priest.  Did not get the trinket I'm farming for, but I did upgrade the weapon, picking up the staff from the 4th boss.

I took my druid and warlock through the first couple of bosses in 10 normal raid.  Druid was kicked from a group that kept on killing me, and on warlock, I have to leave to continue the raid from previous night.  The trinket I was farming for dropped both time, but I lost the roll each time.  Next week.

Continuing on my least geared character, the warrior tank, we continued on the raid from previous night.  As it turns out, even on an iLevel 554 tank, I was able to solo tank Thok, which means the rest of my toons should have no problem with him either.  We were able to get 3 bosses down and will continue the next day.

After doing my weekly Ordos on all of my toons, I decided to queue up my least geared character in oQuque.  I got in with a guild lead group that went well until we got to the Shaman boss.  After a bit of difficulty, we clear all the way up to and including Malkorok, doing him in one attempt.  It was a good night for me as I managed to get 3 pieces of gear, wearing 2 of them and increased my equipped gear average from 552 to 554.

With the next expansion at least 4 months away and the current content stale, there's quit a few bored people in this game.  Case in point: a gang of Horde player is just wasting Alliance player's time by ganking people on their way to either Ordos or Emperor reputation farming.  All they managed to do is to waste people's time, but that's MMPORG mentality for you.

On the weekly Ordos front, my Paladin got the second Warforged legguards that she doesn't need and the druid got a new Warforged shoulder piece and the rogue got an unused chest piece.  No actual upgrade from that front.

For some reason I cannot get myself onto ANY of the normal 10 raid on this final day of the raid week.  I end up spending time completing weekly quest for those toons that still have that on their books to be turn in tomorrow and do another fruitless mount farming run at Vortex Pinnacle.  We're now up to 230+ runs.

Just for the hell of it, I end up spending a lot of gold completing the Glorious Plate transmog set for my Death Knight.  This is what she looks like:

Today is sort of a clean up day.  I took my warlock through boss 5-7 in hope of getting a trinket.  Surprisingly enough I win it on a roll of 9.  I didn't bother queueing my hunter for fresh raid, as I don't need anything from the start.  She didn't get anything.

After a brief shopping trip, I went on my mage to get some gear.  5 hours later we clear up and including the 10th boss.  Unfortunately the raid leader decided to keep a shoulder token for himself and that was the end of that raid.  I did managed to get an iLevel 553 chest piece that can be use when I get an warforged shoulder or head piece.

There appears to be a bug in the mod I used to track my various character's raid progression.  I thought my warrior tank who only progressed one single boss was ineligible to progress any further.  That does not appear to be the case.

I did spend the day taking my monk tank through the raid.  Through her bonus roll, she got the best weapon of all of my toons, and this seriously help out on my tanking.  She also picked up a chest piece, ring and a boot.  We managed to go all the way up to the final boss where I was removed for better tank.  Hey, I did get a lot of loot.

Day 1419 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 8

4th of July.  Well, I manage to get my warlock through first couple of bosses and got her staff.  I also dragged my Balance druid over through the same bosses and got her the normal Tier 16 chest piece.

However, I have to go to a family gathering for this holiday, so my playing time was limited.  I did managed to grind out the valor point cap for all of the toons before the day is through.

Day 1418 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 7

I got 2 toons to the Siege of Orgrimmar raid.  The Death Knight tank was going for the tanking trinket from the second boss.  Didn't get it.  After the raid falls apart from wiping on the third boss, I form my own group and got through the first wing.  I did get the Normal Tier 16 version of the sword off from the 4th boss, but I had to call it a day afterward.

My next toon to go in is my shadow priest, whom like the Balance druid was trying to get the trinket off the first boss.  Didn't get that, but I did manged to get Tier 16 robe, which help me out a bit.  The Dark Shamans boss encounter is another raid breaker that broke this raid.  After wiping for 2 hours, I have to leave the group and go to sleep.

Day 1417 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 6

With the new raid week, I get to rotate all of my toons through Ordos to get Warforged gear.  And for a change, quit a few of my characters got gears.  Justia got a new tanking wrist.  Nodame got a new dps wrist.  Dianora got a new helm that's well suited for tanking.  With that new helm, I have to switch around a couple of things, swapping out the warforge chest piece for a Tier 16 normal and replacing the LFR Tier16 with the new helm.  In all, quite expensive in terms of both gemming and reforging.  But the resulting set pushed the gear score up to 559.  With a full compliment of valor point upgrade, I should be up to 560 and onto the next rung of the oQueue groups.

I was only able to bring the Balance Druid Lonchaneyjr to the SoO raid.  The trinket from the first boss didn't drop, but I did managed to upgrade the boot.  The third boss is what separates the competent groups from the non-competent ones.  Unfortunately, the boomkin got the latter, and we failed to advance.

I tried to get some gear for my other characters.  Got my mage to try the trinket from the Dark Shamans.  After quit a bit of difficulty, the boss was done, no loot.  Since we're short on tank, I brought in my paladin tank who still need some gear from General.  No gear either.
