I'm getting a bit tired of raids that falls apart just at the boss with items I wanted.  But that's to be expected with the expansion just 10 weeks away.  Still, I'm doing my best to equip my toons to be the best they can be before going into that.  We should be getting the pre-expansion patch soon enough and I'll need practice on pretty much all aspects of the reworked rules.

Day 1475 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 64

I have a bit of time to do some dailies before my usual Saturday morning Costco resupply run.  After getting my weekly quest capped, I took the Paladin down to Molten Core to get Garr's half of Binding of the Windseeker.  And for a change, it dropped, so I spend the next 30 minutes or so getting the necessary material for the summoning.  It cost me 17.5K gold, but that's well worth the effort.

Well, here's me summoning the Boss:

Glad I got this over with before the expansion and the limited time revised 40 man Molten Core.

After doing my round of daily quests, I tried to get into raid queue.  The selection was bad, and I opted to call it off early.  What I did do is uses some of the valor points to upgrade some of my gears.

I did my week run at Ordos and this week I can actually start using proper Tier 16 pieces for my mage as I got her a new warforged shoulder.  This means I can retire the warforged non-tier chest piece and use the tier one in its place.

In the evening, on my shadow priest, I got into a guild lead run through the first 2 wings of the raid.  I got the trinket I was farming for from the first boss off from a bonus roll, an off hand weapon off the second boss, which allows me to use the warforged one hander weapon I've gotten previously.  There were 2 iLevel 553 shoes that dropped, but I lost the roll both time.  You can't win them all.  Still the upgrades boosted my shadow priest to iLevel 569, equipped, and one less character to try to farm for that elusive trinket.

Day 1472 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 61

I only managed to get my hunter through an run from Thokk through the Paragons.  The shoulder I've wanted dropped, but alas, I didn't win the roll.  Nothing of interest dropped for me on Paragons but on my bonus roll, I not only wins Kovok, but Kir'ruk's Band of Ascendancy, replacing my last Timeless Isle boosted ring.  Not too bad of a night.  With upgrade to the ring, my iLevel on the hunter went up to 570, my third such character.

Due to the sheer amount of jerks around, I opted to move my characters to position to do Ordos early today, as well as getting one of my character Valor point capped for the week early.  This should make things a bit easier as gankers and griefers have became too numerous for me to deal with sanely.

While waiting for the car getting serviced yesterday, I managed to cap the weekly quest for those of my characters that still needs it as well as most of them to valor point weekly cap.  I'm now getting to the point where I'm running out of stuff to get valor point upgrade.  And I still need to get dps gears for my tanking characters.

Tried raiding today with the warlock and the DDOS guys strikes again, ruining a rather well running raid.  This is getting annoying.

Spend the entire morning at the car dealership getting the car serviced.  I may have something more serious that I need to looked at soon, but that's about 3 weeks away.

For some reason I feel extremely tire after coming home.  After my afternoon nap, I tried to do some raiding with the mage, who hasn't been getting her share of raiding.  While I'm doing the raid, someone decided it's a good idea to ruin everyone's enjoyment and DDOS Blizzard and other gaming company's network.  I did managed to hit the bosses I wanted after some delay, but still this is annoying.

Took my DK through a guild alt PUG raid.  It wasn't as smooth as I would've hoped for, but at least I got the second one handed iLevel 553 sword which will come in handy for leveling on the next expansion in 3 months.

Day 1467 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 56

For a change, I actually got 2 of my toons through some raid content.  My shadow priest is still farming for the trinket from the fist boss, and not getting it.  I opted to get out after the third boss.  My balance druid got into a very high DPS raid and we actually powered through a lot of content, all the way to the end boss.  But by that time, I was beyond tire and have to get out of the raid.

While the druid didn't get any of the trinket she wanted, she did get 4 pieces of loot, new tier head piece, new 2 handed weapon, 2 off hand weapon.  Out of all these, she'll be using the raid head piece (so she can use the warforge shoulder) and the main hand (I already have that) and off hand combination.  Now I just have to scrounge together enchants and gems for these new gears.

As expected, zero raid last night.  People on the Timeless Isle have also gotten into griefing other players, so my weekly run at Ordos is getting more tiresome.  Oh, I might stop running it on the characters that needs no gear from him and just save myself the trouble.

Day 1465 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 54

We got a new patch on Beta.  While it fixes a major bug in some of the quest scenario, it severely broke the introduction quest to such extend that my newly copied Death Knight is currently stalled.

I've also gotten my character to level 98, still not good enough for the garrison invasion quest yet.

Lets hope for a better raid week.

Day 1464 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 53

I copied my Death Knight over to the beta server.  I got as far as at least deleting unneeded gears.  Set up the macros and some semblance of keybind.  It's absurd how little keys there are to press for the Blood Death Knight.  No Heart Strike (that spot is merged Blood Boil), no rune strike (merged into Death Coil).  I heard somewhere I might want to take the talent conversion, so I'll run around with that in Dungeon.  I also realize that ALL of the dungeon are adjusted to level 100, which makes my gear rather poor.

With the announcement of the actual release date of the next expansion, ALL of the raiding seem to have grind to a halt.  I opted to continue doing my leveling planing, taking my paladin up to level 97.  I noticed a couple of major bugs as well as unexpect features.  The mining shaft was yielding quit a bit of ores that my engineer/jewelcrafter needed.  It doesn't look like I'll be needing to level my death knight at the same time as my main character.  Of course, I still need to plot out what I'm supposed to do to get to level 100 and be prepared for the Molten Core limited time event to get that Core Hound mount.

Day 1462 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 51

I tried and failed to get any raid going.  So I opted to go through the beta and actually plot out the various garrison outpost I'll have on each and every zone.  I think I'm making some mistakes here and there, but some of of the outpost perks are rather useful.  I got my toon up to level 94 and onto the second zone.  There really isn't a whole lot of quest here for Alliance character, but I did  set up my outpost here and taking the advice of most people (lumber mill) seem to work best.  The way things are going, I don't see most of my toons raiding.

With the announcement of the actual delivery date for Warlords of Draenor, the pool of oQueue raider got even worse.  I suck is up and took my main toon through the first wing of Siege.  I did get the stamina trinket, which I'm not going to use as well as the shield from Sha of Pride.  That shield I'll be using.  I'll still farm for the other 2 shields, which are significantly better than this one.

Day 1460 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 49

With picking being extremely slim, I try something new.  I started my own oQueue group and ran as far as my time allow.  This being on my shadow priest, I got as far as the General, but situation went beyond my control (tank was having issue with transition).  I did noticed that a lot of the people got the loot and just leave.  In all, I lead 4 hours of raiding...

After my evening work, I went and re-did the Beta, this time afresh after the server wipe and character reset.  After doing the Dark Portal and the initial introduction quests in the Jungle, I got my garrison build up and left for the night.  Many of the formerly missing cinematics are now in place.  Got to level 91 by just finishing the Garrison.

Day 1459 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 48

For some reason the raid week reset brings out the worse in the raiding recently.  I have abit of extra time on this reset day to try squeezing extra raid in.  Alas, it was not to be.  The game was wraight with multiple authentication issue (which cuts down on the available players and raid around) as well as untimed realm reset.  In the end, the only noticeable loot I managed to obtain was from the bonus roll off from Ordos on my druid.  There really should be a better way.

I managed to get my shadow priest to the Dark Shaman in hope of getting the multistrike trinket.  Still no go.  I then took the monk through the next 2 bosses.  Nothing.

Pugging normal 10 man instance can be an excruciating exercise.  I tried to farm for gears that my remaining characters need.  It was literally someone dropping off after each and every single wipe, which means 10-20 minutes of doing nothing.  My shadow priest did finally managed to get through the Dark Shamans when 3 people dropped off, including one of the two tanks.  Thankfully that was the only boss my shadow priest was interested in, so I brought in my monk tank to finish up.  Another rather frustrating day of raiding.

Took my death knight through the first 12 bosses of the instances.  While I did get an tier piece shoulder, as well as an off spec dps tier chest, I didn't have a warforged complementary piece to go along with them.  Oh well, next week.

Took my paladin through as much of the raid as I wanted.  No shield.  This is beginning to irk me as my instant 90 warrior has both weapon and shield.  Also no tanking trinket.

Continuing my week of shorten playtime, I only managed to send my monk tank through the first 7 bosses of the raid.  I didn't get the tanking trinket I was farming for, but I did get the dps trinket off the 4th boss.

This morning, I awake to an new Beta build and character wipe.  Oh well, it's time for me to run through the first couple of levels of Beta again.  I'm also going to have to copy my death knight through as well this time.  I want to practice tanking on all of my characters that can do tanking so I can be available when the thing is ready.

Day 1452 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 41

I decided to take it easier this week since my raid time would be more limited.  Ordos doesn't exactly yield me any useful gears.

I took my two casters that still needs trinket from wing 1 through wing 1.  Of course, the trinket didn't drop.  Nothing useful dropped either.

After getting valor capped with my paladin, I upgraded the tanking boot to get her up to iLevel 566 geared.  I'm almost done with gearing her out, except for tanking shield, one more ring and the tanking trinket from Wing 3.  Perhaps I should spend more time with her this week.

The last day of the raid week turn to bust again as I tried and failed to queue some of my toons that could get gears.  My death knight did one run at Malkorok in vain hope for the tanking trinket.  No go.   My mage had a shot at both Malkorok and couldn't sign up for Siegecrafter.

This morning when I login, I noticed that my valor point bonus is still up, and I managed to get 975 valor points for my paladin at reduced cost.  I won't try to acquire any more valor point until that toon is valor point capped for the week.

Day 1450 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 39

Taking a brief break, I went back with my hunter, starting with the final wing.  Didn't get the shoulder I wanted, but with the bonus roll, I did get the best bow my hunter can get.  Now I have to wait until the raid week reset (Tuesday) before I can upgrade it and use it.  The hunter was in a fairly highly geared group and we were able to bring down the final boss to score my second kill.

I was having problem queueing up raid for my mage and warlock for the latter part of the raid, so I opted to take the hunter to Stormwind and grinds out some Brawler's Guild win.  We're now getting into the trickier encounters, and after getting to rank 7, my luck ran out.  It's a good spot to stop.

The shadow Priest got an warforged one handed mace.  She'll need an offhand to go with that before I can use it properly.  Continued on my warrior, I managed to get her all the way through the third wing of the place.  I managed to get a Tier 16 tanking glove plus the shield from the third wing.  It's kind of funny how my instant 90 warrior now have better tanking shield than my main character.

I got my mage through 1 boss in the third wing before that group falls apart.  It's always tricky with that wing as the first boss there is very popular with tanks, who basically queue up just for the tanking trinket.  The mage did pick up a trinket that won't be as good for her as the LFR trinket she's still using.

Running my lesser played toon through the higher gear required raid does prove one point, gear does make a significant differences.  Also with gear it demonstrates that at least the participant pays some attention.  None of them have gotten to Garrosh yet, but most of them got as far as the third wing.

Day 1447 - Warlords of Draenor Beta Day 36

After running all of my characters that still haven't cap their weekly valor allotment, I tried to get some gear for some of my least geared toons.

My druid somehow got into a Brazilian group, most of them does not communicate in chat in English, and pretty much all instruction was in Portuguese.  After the longest amount of delays in between setup and wipes, I didn't have confidence in even getting past the Iron Juggernaut.  I bid the group good luck and hop on my warrior.

My warrior did get a tanking boot that replaces her existing LFR boot.  This one piece of loot upgrade change her equipped gear score from 558 to 560, which opens up the 560 tier of raid groups.  I didn't get the shield I was hoping for, but that's for another day.
